Description
Children of Integrity Montessori Academy is a fully accredited learning institution which is funded both privately and through the Ministry of Independent Schools. Since its inception in 2006, the school has been guided by Dr. Maria Montessori's vision of a school community where children can unlock their potential as self-motivated, independent, and fulfilled young learners. The school community built to Dr. Montessori's concept, focuses on human interdependency with the natural world. In cooperation with and participation in surrounding life and commerce, students experience practical roles that engage academic studies, while building a greater connection to society and the world. The 14,000 sq. ft. Children of Integrity Montessori Academy facility has ample study and recreational space to accommodate 160 students and is situated on over 8 picturesque acres of natural park forest, on Coquitlam's north facing mountain slopes in the scenic neighborhood of Cedar Brook. This natural forested area, with its nature trails and stream, in combination with well guided field trips provide ample eco systems for Montessori study activities that emerge from direct contact with the natural habitat. Other hands-on study activities include a student grown vegetable garden, outdoor playground, sports field and indoor gymnasium. |
