Description
Brighton is a private school for students in grades 1-12 who learn best in small classes, are one or more years behind academically, have a learning disability or an uneven learning profile. Our Elementary program uses a small learning group format to teach both curriculum-based, and remediation programs such as Direct Instruction reading, Lindamood Bell Comprehension, Jump Math and Touchmath, while our art, drama, music and after school programs provide opportunities for our students to explore their creative side. Our Secondary credit program offers credit courses at a slower pace, with more individualized support. We offer courses at the Locally Developed and Open Level as well as Workplace Course credits. Our unique Secondary Transition to Adulthood program is designed to meet the needs of non-credit students who want to develop life skills, independence and make a gradual transition to the workplace. Brighton is fully inspected and accredited with the Ontario Ministry of Education. Brighton is a member of OFIS ? the Ontario Federation of Independent Schools and Spectra - Association of Special Education Schools of Ontario. |
